We thought we may have been stuck the wrong side of Whitebirk Aqueduct when CRT announced a severe leak and a 3 week closure to fix it.
Its a fairly small aqueduct taking the canal over a small stream and with a wash way, or was it and ice ramp?
But stars that they are the engineers at CRT and Kiers came up with a novel solution. They put pipes into the ground and injected foam, it worked the leak has been stopped and there will only be a few hours of stoppage on Tuesday as they complete permanent repairs.
