What else is there to do?

The canal is one of the most scenic in the country and has wonderful historic canal architecture.

We would recommend you look at Saltaire , Skipton , Leeds & Liverpool Canal, Embsay Steam Railway, Bolton Abbey. These sites provide a lot of information on local activities.

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway steam trains which were used in the film The Railway Children, can be taken to Haworth home of the Bronte sisters and now the Bronte Parsonage museum.

Leeds has a lot to offer, not the least of which is the fabulous Royal Armouries museum. It is only a short journey to the wonderful historic city of York with the medieval Shambles shopping district, York Minster and the Jorvik centre celebrating the Vikings.

This is a wonderful part of England that provides great opportunities for sightseeing, walking, cycling, visiting steam railways and just having a great time.
