A Typical Day’s Cruising

We normally start cruising between 9.30 and 10 with a mid morning stop, a stop for lunch and we plan to moor up by around 4.30 to give you time to explore.

During the day you can help with driving or the locks and bridges should you want too,  don’t worry it will always be under supervision.

Should you wish to take an excursion,  or a walk,  then we can help arrange it; maybe a trip on the steam railway and a visit to the Bronte Parsonage.

Your day will start gently with tea or coffee and breakfast cooked to order.

Weather & time  permitting breakfast may be served on the roof deck. Of course you can start earlier as drink making facilities are available in all the rooms.

Breakfast is your choice of cereal including homemade Granola with Greek yogurt, fruit, croissants a full English breakfast with a choice of eggs, scrambled egg on toast and a wide selection of fruit juices, you choose what you want, its your holiday.

Most days we will stop for mid morning fresh coffee,  or a choice of loose teas, with home baked cookies, sometimes we will cruise through this break.

Lunch is typically light, maybe quiche with salad, home baked rolls, fruit and cheese.

Afternoon Tea, or freshly ground coffee, served with homemade cakes, scones and jam.

Pre-dinner cocktails and canapés, served on the top deck weather permitting.

Dinner, prepared from local produce where possible, – 4 courses, for example; homemade carrot and ginger soup served with homemade rolls followed by succulent loin of pork stuffed with orange. Dauphinoise potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. Lemon soufflé with Almond Praline. Selection of cheese, Pettit four.

Remember there will also be wine and port with the meal and drinks available throughout the day.
